Consumer Health Data Notice
Last updated July 17, 2026
BlueOcean Skin (a d/b/a of Court Services of Michigan, Inc.) helps you build a personalized skincare routine. To do that, we ask you about your skin and about changes that often come with perimenopause and menopause, and you can optionally add photos. Some of this counts as “consumer health data” under certain state laws, so we want to be clear and honest about what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- The answers you give during the intake about your skin, symptoms, sensitivities, products you use, and menopause-related changes.
- Any photos you choose to add (optional — the routine works without them).
- The state of residence you tell us, so we know where we can offer the service.
Why we collect it
Only to create and maintain your personalized routine and to let you talk with the advisor about it. That’s it. We do not use it for anything else.
We never sell it, and we never share it for advertising
We do not sell your health information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. No advertising or analytics trackers run on the intake, your routine report, or your account pages. The only outside services that ever touch this information are the ones we need to run the product itself (for example, our secure database host and the AI that generates your routine). Those providers act on our instructions, are not permitted to sell your data, and the AI is configured not to train on it.
Your consent
Before the intake begins, we ask you to check a box specifically agreeing to let us collect this health information. You can decline — you just won’t be able to generate a routine, because the routine is built from what you tell us. Your consent is separate from agreeing to our general Terms and Privacy Policy.
Deleting your data
You can delete your health information at any time from your account settings, and it is really deleted — your intake answers, profile, any photos, and your routine. (We keep a small record that you gave consent, with the date, so we have proof it was given; that record contains no health details.) If you have any trouble, email support@blueoceanskin.com and a person will delete it for you.
Where the service is available
At launch we are not offering the service to residents of Washington State while we complete additional compliance work. If you’re in Washington, we’ll invite you as soon as we can.
